AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS: THE NORTH-AMERICAN ALUMINIUM INDUSTRY MUST CONTINUE ITS GROWTH IN THE FUTURE

9 November 2016

Montreal, November 9, 2016 – The Aluminium Association of Canada intends to remain vigilant with respect to the treatment of the Canada-United States free trade agreement. Our industry works with the United States in complementarity in an integrated industrial value chain for more than 100 years. The future of the North American aluminium industry remains primarily a matter of free trade.

“We intend to continue our efforts with our American partners at The Aluminum Association to protect and grow our common value chain in the best interest of our businesses, employees and communities” stated Jean Simard, President and CEO of the Aluminium Association of Canada.
